Hello, I though I would send a note on the work you did on the two Winchesters M1. All I can say is that I have deleted all other sites but yours from my list. I went to our local CMP shoot yesterday and sighted one in with my pet 172 FMJBT ,grouped 1" @ 100yd on 200yd reduced target. Every body though it was big name work. All I had to say was the name of the shop and the rifle said the rest. Your turn around time was also very impressive. Now I will turn off the smoke pump and ask if you work on the M1 carbine? | Man you gotta love this guy. Even in the process of moving he
takes the time to talk with me on the phone and send about a dozen
PM's back and forth to get an order in for me. I just ordered a
Leupold torque wrench, some Black Hills ammo and a bunch of Tetra
products from him and he is going above and beyond on this one. As
always he has the best darn prices on the stuff then he's having the
ammo and wrench sent to my work and he's holding the Tetra stuff for
me so I can pick it up when I see him in a few weeks (I'm not in a
rush for it). Is that some customer service or what? I'd divulge
more but I think you need to call or PM him about your needs and

| Well, I finally had the pleasure of meeting Dan face to face
this weekend after driving 15 hours and 1100 miles form CA to TX.
After a warm welcoming he coated my barrel with OD Gun Kote for me
and made it look all pretty. After it was all cooled down and
reassembled we went to a nearby range to try it out for a bit,
naturally I was very happy with it. After this we relaxed a bit
before my GF and I headed back to the hotel. The next day, after
finding out I'd never tried a shotgun, he bought some clay pigeons
and shells (he was out) so we could shoot some trap in his field,
now I have to buy a shotgun. Dan and his wife were very generous
hosts and I can only hope to return the favor to them sometime. My
GF and I are already planning a trip to go back again this winter
hopefully for a little longer stay and try to get some hunting in.

| Once again, Dan did his magic by reparkerizing M1 Garand and M14
parts for me. These parts were just asking to be treated better so
they can really dress up the rifles - an M1A Springfield and a CMP
SA M1 Garand. I also had several USGI M14 magazines that were pitted
from rust; they look as good as new and their maker's mark is still
visible. Dan also suggested I try his secret recipe for recoating my AR-15 30 round magazines I got during the AWB. (Ok, so I own an AR-15 Bushmaster.) This is a textured hard coating that I think will grip well in cold or wet weather. Now when I am in the field in winter, they won't slip out of my hand. Everything I had him fix or order, he's come through. Very responsive, quick turnaround, fair in price and dealing. I've had 3 orders with him and each one has been great. | Sent some m14 parts to Dan for refinishing and and trigger work .The trigger job was perfect and the refinished parts look like they just came from the factory.I also had him install one the C.S hammer springs in the t.g at his suggestion (world of difference) These parts were supposed to be for the W.R receiver build but I could'nt wait .I would'nt hesitate to do business with Dan again, in fact hope to be doing a lot more in the near future ..Thanks |

That trigger job you did on my M14 trigger was amazing. Took it to the range today and it was flawless. You said it measured at 4.65 lbs when we talked. Man it just feels great. The park job was outstanding. It looked so dark and even, that I thought it had been painted on. The mags you refinished also looked great. You have a return customer here. |
| Dan, is a FIRST CLASS Gunsmith and a Outstanding guy,,all my NM work done on my Gas Cylinder and Trigger Groups is Top Rate,,as good as I've had done by anyone,,and I have had work done by other top guys also,,and Dans is as good if not better !! The re-park work on my trigger groups is also outstanding ! Cynthia is also very professional and a pleasure to talk to on the phone. Keep up the great work guys,,you are my NEW go to guys for M-14 and M1 work,,thanks much ! |
| Just received my custom fit Sadlak titanium M14 mount for my majorly out of spec Springfield receiver. All I have to say is it went on like a glove. I can only attribute this to the fact that Dan and staff had great communication with me along the whole process. If only I would have went this way from the beginning I could have saved alot of time and money. But now I'm very happy so now it's time for a beer. Thanks a bunch |
| This guy totally rocks!!!! I received part one of a two part
package this afternoon: Trijicon Tripower and some rebuilds on some
old junky mags and T-57's. AMAZING! Dan must have OCD because these mags were PERFECT - even the junky ones I'd been ripped off with when I bought my SOCOM. Do you straighten out the fringe on the rugs Dan??? 
If not, then you're just completely dedicated to what you do and it
shows!Everything was packaged perfectly - not a shake rattle or roll - thanks Cynthia! I can't even imagine opening package #2 when it comes! It's like Christmas! BTW - Dan found me an INCREDIBLE deal on a Trijicon Tripower and even inspected it before he shipped it - truly a class act! I'm in the process of sending him my Uncle Claude's 1950's match target rifle for a complete rebirth when his FFL comes in - I can't wait to see what magic he performs on it. Lastly, Dan has been truly a huge help to me. He's put up with my dippy newbie questions, phone calls and PM/E-Mail bombardments. That alone was a huge help and earns you and the family my full hospitality should you ever come to New England. Thanks Dan! |

| Dan, I finally got to test fire my M1 you steel
bedded, unitized gas system, etc, off a bench Saturday. It responded
with a 4 shot 1" group at 100yds. The only problem I am having is
the darn thing shoots exactly where I aim it!!!! Thanks for helping
with the headspace problem, I was just not seating the shoulder of
my reloaded cases back far enough. (Lubbock, TX) |
| Dan O'Neal is one of the most intelligent and
most knowledgeable persons I've ever met when it comes to making
guns and repairing them.
He cares about his work and is a very dedicated gunsmith and will accept nothing less than perfection for his clients. He does fantastic work and stands behinds his products and workmanship. He is a great guy and you won't find anyone else better than him to work on your rifles, handguns or whatever the product you have that requires his expertise. My family appreciates him greatly. We recently purchased a 38 caliber Rossi rifle. He taught our son to use it safely and provided all instructions you needed to know about purchasing your first gun.
